Overview

What proper ITR filing looks like

Filing an ITR is not just submitting a form — it is reporting a year of your financial life accurately. The right form has to match your income sources, every TDS credit must be claimed, capital gains must be computed with the correct holding periods and indexation treatment, and bank interest that never appeared on any certificate still has to be reported.

TAX MASTER prepares your return from your actual documents, reconciles it against your Form 26AS/AIS, shows you a clear summary before filing, and handles the verification step. If a notice follows, you already have a professional who knows exactly what was filed and why.

FAQ

Common questions

It depends on your income sources and their size — the choice between ITR-1, ITR-2, ITR-3 and ITR-4 changes with things like capital gains and business income. We determine the correct form from your documents as part of the service.

The due date for non-audit returns normally falls on 31 July of the assessment year, and it is sometimes extended — but filing late costs you carry-forward of losses and, in some cases, a fee. Filing early also means faster processing. Check the current year’s date when you engage us.

A late (belated) return can usually still be filed until the end of the relevant assessment year, with consequences: possible late-filing fees and loss of carry-forward of certain losses. If you have missed a deadline, talk to us before doing anything else.

Yes — if the TDS deducted exceeds your final tax liability after all deductions and incomes are considered, the excess is refunded to your bank account after processing. That is exactly why the return must reconcile against Form 26AS/AIS before filing.
